New Digital Scrapbooking Template!

Webajeb-Template-023

I'm just having way too much fun creating templates lately! Luckily, since I try to also create a layout using the new templates I'm also making progress (finally!) on my son's wedding album!

I've also started something new with my templates. I've added a layer in the file with numbers on each photo layer. You can see the numbers in the template above. As I've been working with the templates, especially the ones with lots of photo layers, I found having that reference makes it much easier to select the layer I want before I drag in my photo. (Because, as you know, when the correct layer is selected before dragging in the photo, the photo will land on top of that very layer, eliminating the hassle of moving the photo up or down in the layers palette.) Just be sure to hide or delete the Photo Numbers layer before printing!

I'm still also including the plus sign (+) in front of the layer name on each layer that is clippable. This makes them easy to identify and also reminds you to use that method (if your digital software program supports it) when sizing your photos to fit.

So, on to the layout I created using the template:

When you have tons of photos for an event (like a wedding!) it's great to be able to fit in lots of photo on some of the pages!

Sharp-dressed Men - Template Number 022

Yet another template! Number 022 and I call it "Sharp" as a nod to the six sharp-dressed men in the layout I made using the template.

It's a 2-page template and includes a textured background paper in a neutral color with embossed border and lines. It's very cool!

In my layout below the black line is just so you can see the division between the two pages. Your printed layout won't have that. I thought the clean and simple lines lent themselves nicely to wedding photos.

The template is delivered as two pages, in .PSD format. I tried to also include .TIFF format but the zipped file was so big it was going to take 3 hours to upload. Seems there's something wrong there.....that just seems excessive.....but I'm just not sure. So, if you'd rather have this template in .TIFF format, just let me know. I'd be glad to send it to you after you have made your purchase of the .PSD files. My contact info is on the sidebar of my blog.

You can get this template here at my online store.

Although I don't have a freebie for you today, yesterday's freebie is still available, and will be through tomorrow (Sunday) evening. Don't miss it! Get it via yesterday's post here.

A new client dropped off CDs with photos for TWO photobooks, so I'm going to be busy for a couple of weeks! There's another project in the queue as well, so if you are contemplating having me do any custom-design work for you, please contact me soon so I can put you next in line.

Have a great weekend!

Free Digital Template - Two Days Only!

Webajeb-Template-021

This template is based on a sketch I saw on this post at the Daily Digi. I love the kooky & crooked photo and/or element squares juxtaposed with the ultra-straight border lines.

Here is a layout I made today using the template:

(papers by KimScrappinDesigns, Faded Memories kit)

Since I only had one photo that I wanted to use I decided to clip a variety of papers to the smaller photo squares. You could also layer elements there, or a title, or even journaling bullets. I also stretched that inner border just a bit to give me more room for journaling and to offset the total design just a bit.

The template is now in my online store but you can download it at *4shared FREE through Sunday! Please share any layouts you make with it!

{*sorry, the link has expired but you can still get the template at my online store!}

Have a great weekend and make sure it includes some scrappin'!

Digital Alphas and a Freebie!

I've got two sets of alphas to share with you today. These are not new, they've been around for awhile, but I just today got them uploaded to my online store so wanted to "re-introduce" them to you. I featured them on my blog last year but if you have not been reading my blog for very long, chances are you've never seen these.

The first set, above, were designed to look like the plastic magnetic refrigerator letters and numbers that we've all seen, and that every kid seems to have. These are so much fun to use on kid's layouts! Here's an example:
Don't those letters and numbers look cute??!

The second alpha set is in a patriotic style. I originally designed these for use in layouts celebrating the Inauguration of Barack Obama, but they work equally well in any patriotic layout such as 4th of July, military, or Memorial Day.
This set includes a FREE custom-designed piece of digital paper (12" x 12", 300 dpi) as shown in the preview above. I currently have a total of four custom-designed Obama papers, and they have proven to be quite popular. You can see them all here in my online store.

To see the alphas, and other digital elements, in my online store, click here.

And here's another freebie, even if you don't want to buy the alpha set, or any papers. It's Obama's name spelled out using the patriotic letters.

Enjoy!
